Your front garden is your window to the world. Is that window looking a little grubby after winter. Here are some simple tasks to help you get it shipshape and put a spring in the step, be it yours, your friends or the postman’s.
Show your colours Brighten up your pots and beds by splashing out on ready-to-go spring bulbs, or focus on bedding or simple greens (ivy, muehlenbeckia, hellebores). For an informal look, plant containers in a range of sizes, spilling away from the door. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with something evergreen and standardised, or with a simple clipped ball of box, underplanted with bedding.
