Tell us a bit more about Bespoke

We joined forces in May 2019, following a Halifax banking background – it was two ideas coming together to make something perfect! We’re an independent brokerage (part of The Right Mortgage & Protection Network) and have access to various exclusive products from mortgages to protection services and everything in between. We also offer quite a niche product for active people, such as semi-pro cage fighters!

The team has grown quite quickly, and we now have six mortgage advisors and 74 four-star reviews. We have stayed true to our values of trust, respect and providing world-class end to end services.

How did your partnership with JP & Brimelow come about?

When the business was first set up, it was all about getting our feet off the ground. Nearly two years in, we’re now ready to partner up with Eddie and his fantastic team at JP & Brimelow.

People often start looking for properties and have never had any professional mortgage or protective services advice – that’s where we come in. Eddie wants to make sure his clients are given the correct advice from the start, so no one is wasting any time, and the house buying process is as streamlined as possible.

What is a typical customer journey?

There is an initial appointment with the client at a time that best suits them – we are flexible. The main questions we ask are around what you are looking for, your current situation, etc. We carry out a credit report upfront, so it is a fully transparent process from the start.

You’ll then receive an email from a customer relationship manager (usually within 24 hours). This will give you all the costings from the start, along with all the options available and then it’s just a case of yes or no.

We’re all about trust from day one, and this is carried throughout the entire customer journey to when it’s time for your mortgage review.

What advice would you give to someone looking at mortgages?

One word – protection. Your home is the biggest purchase of your life, so why would you not protect it? There are core protection services like home insurance, building insurance and life insurance, which most people know about, but what about mortgage payment protection and critical illness insurance? This is where we can help by giving you honest and upfront advice about your options.
