Here at JP & Brimelow we strongly believe in doing our bit for the local community, clubs, teams and supporting many varied charities over the past 15 years. Over the last year amongst other things, a number of staff members from all offices took part in 1/2 marathons, 10k walks, triathlons, golf days and many charity auctions on behalf of local children's charities and hope to continue with raising funds for worthy causes.
After 5 years of fundraising for St Ann’s Hospice, we couldn’t be more proud to announce that Eddie Ellis has become an official Charity Business Partner. St Ann’s Hospice aim to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients with life-limiting illnesses and I look forward to working together with Clare Henderson and her fantastic team raising vital funds for this incredible place.

The streets of Manchester will be a hive of activity this April as thousands of local people – and bees – take on a 10km moonlit challenge in support of St Ann’s Hospice.
Our flagship fundraising event, the sponsored Manchester Midnight Walk, is back for its thirteenth year, and will take place on Friday 26th April. The event starts and finishes at the beautiful Manchester Cathedral, and this year we’re encouraging as many people as possible to embrace the bee theme!
The 10km route starts at midnight and takes in some of Manchester’s most famous landmarks including the Hilton Hotel, Old Granada Studios, Spinningfields, MEN Arena, the Northern Quarter and past the Universities. The route is fairly flat and on footpaths and ends back at Manchester Cathedral.
Entry fees: Adult £21 | Adult previous walker: £16 | Youth: (ages 11-17 yrs) £11 | Group (minimum of 5 people): £16 per person
The registration fee covers the cost of organising and running the event on the night. It does not contribute towards your sponsorship total, so please try and raise as much as you can for St Ann’s Hospice.
Are you ready to do something awesome for #TeamStAnns?
The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £500 million for good causes since the race began in 1981.
If you were one of the lucky ones to secure a place in the Virgin Money London Marathon, we would love you to join #Team StAnns and be part of something awesome. You will have no minimum sponsorship – we just ask that you raise what you can!
Our fundraising team will support you in whatever way they can, whether you want to discuss ideas or have more specific questions, they are here to help you and they can give tips on how to keep it legal and safe.
Join us for our annual golf tournament from 12.30pm on Thursday 16th May. The golf day is taking place at the beautiful Dunham Forest Golf and Country Club in Altrincham. Teams of four – two Stableford scores to count. Teams are £500.
On arrival you’ll receive a light lunch, followed by a shotgun start at 2pm. There will be refreshments available throughout the afternoon’s play, at the Halfway House and the Clubhouse, and there will be a number of competitions to take part in. Following play, teams will enjoy a relaxed meal and a competition winners’ presentation, along with a luxury raffle.
The UK’s most popular 10Km race will return once again when runners of all abilities will take to the streets of Manchester.
The Half Marathon will follow a route taking in both the Etihad Campus and Old Trafford, as well as giving participants the opportunity to run across the closed Mancunian Way! Runners will then reconvene with their 10K pals at the finish line, located at the Beetham Tower on Deansgate. The 13.1mile route is the perfect step up for all of those dedicated Great Manchester Runners who are looking for a new, bigger challenge.
Join Team St Ann’s for this year’s Great Manchester Run and you’ll get loads of perks, including:
The 5km course starts in a sea of bubbles and features four bubble stations along the route where cannons pump out coloured foam to create a 4ft deep bubble bath! The course is family friendly, so you can run, jog, walk, dance or toddle through the foam. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are more than welcome!
The event is not timed, so you’re not racing anyone – the most important thing is that you enjoy your time in the bubbles and finish with a big smile on your face! Bubblers do it for fun with friends and family – and everyone gets a medal at the end!
Waves start from 11am and commence hourly. Where possible we’ll allocate your preferred wave, however, due to capacity we may need to allocate the next available wave.
Entry fees: Adult early bird (until 31st March 2019) £15 then £20 | Youth: (ages 4-16 yrs) £10 | Under 3: Free
The registration fee covers the cost of organising and running the event. It does not contribute towards your sponsorship total, so please try and raise as much as you can for St Ann’s Hospice.
