Dear Chorlton |
The cream of Chorlton |
A great time to sell during the Autumn months, we’ve just had a
record breaking September here in the Chorlton office and make the
most of what remains of the good weather to give your home a lift
with a few odd jobs and improvements. If you’re a buyer, looking to
cosy up in a new nest this Christmas, you need to start viewing now
as we’ve got some cracking new properties coming to the market.

News Age gap among first-time
buyers sets in, the Halifax says
A gap between the average age of first-time buyers in different
parts of the UK has set in despite property price growth slowing, a
lender has said.
The Halifax said that UK property prices rose by 5.8% in September
compared with a year ago.
This offers some cheer to first-timers who faced annual rises in
house prices of 10% six months ago.
Yet those buying in the priciest parts of the UK were typically
seven years older than those in cheaper areas.
There’s no time to lose. If you’d like to arrange a viewing or a
valuation please call my office on 0161 882 2233 today.
'Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is
something you design for the present.'
Kind regards

St Ann's Hospice |
Ready, Steady
ACCUMULATE!
The month of October we’re 1 of 40 businesses across Greater
Manchester fundraising on behalf of St Ann’s Hospice to see who can
raise the most from £100, to be crowned The Ultimate Accumulator.
So I’m going to donate £25 for every instructed property here in
Chorlton and £75 for every completed sale throughout October 2016.
How much can we accumulate in 31 days in aid of St Ann’s
Hospice?

Rachael
+ Alex Otterwell, Co-Owners of OBJECT.
Who
are you and what do you do?
We are husband + wife team
sharing a love for beautifully designed products built on quality,
heritage + simplicity. We’ve recently merged our online businesses
+ opened a new neighbourhood store in the heart of Chorlton.
We
stock a carefully considered
selection of menswear, ladieswear, interiors +
print.
What
do you like doing in Chorlton or Whalley Range or where do you like
going?
We moved to Chorlton in 2012 +
have enjoyed seeing the existing independent culture flourish +
prosper. We feel so fortunate to live in and amongst such a
creative + diverse community. In particular, we enjoy visiting The
Parlour for the best Sunday roast in the whole of Manchester
(probably the UK), San Juan for incredible authentic tapas, The
Spoon Inn for top tunes + finally wandering around Chorlton
Ees on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
What
do you think makes Chorlton or Whalley Range different?
What makes Chorlton different
is its unique retail + leisure offering. It’s one of the last
standing suburbs we feel has a proper sense of close-knit
community. The practicality + convenience of Chorlton is also very
appealing in that we very rarely visit Manchester city centre,
everything we need is on our doorstep, be it ink cartridges from
Conrad, good quality wine from Ludo or skincare from Buddha
Beauty.
