Meet Marie from Bakehouse in Urmston..

Hi I’m Marie, welcome to Marie’s Bakehouse. I produce all my makes and bakes from my home kitchen in Urmston, Manchester, where I live with my two beautiful girls and long suffering husband- the cake business is slowly taking over!

As well as producing beautifully decorated and deliciously tasting cookies and handmade cake toppers for posting or local collection (which you can find in my shop- Shop | Marie’s Bakehouse

(mariesbakehouse.co.uk) , I make celebration cakes for all occasions, and teach sugarcraft classes for both adults and children. I also run cupcake decorating birthday parties.

I started making cakes after ordering two cakes, which turned out to be terrible, for celebrations when my daughters were small. I decided that if I wanted them to have amazing birthday cakes, I’d have to learn how to do it myself. And so Marie’s Bakehouse was born.

A lot of my time is spent in the kitchen with music for company, so when I’m not dancing in there you might be able to find me exercising elsewhere trying to burn off some calories (well, those treats are just too good to resist sometimes!)

I have been awarded a five star rating from the Environmental Health Service, I have my food hygiene qualifications and my kitchen is regularly inspected.  I am fully insured and registered with the council. I also have the relevant certificate for holding children’s classes and birthday parties.
