Background.

Opened in April 2021, our Community Building is purpose built, fully accessible and available to all. The building is run by Friends of Victoria Park, Stretford (FOVPS) which is a registered charity dedicated to serving the needs of our community. Originally set up as a community group by local residents the charity has grown by working with the Council towards the upkeep of the park, running the Community Building and holding a number of events throughout the year. All profits go straight back into the park and building and allows us to continue with our work and keep this building open and the toilets flushing!.

Friends of Victoria Park, Stretford

A small local Community based Charity responsible for the running of The Victoria Park Community Building set in the heart of Victoria Park, one of Stretford’s beautiful green spaces. The fully accessible building boasts a Community Room available for hire – perfect for meetings / training days / group sessions, complete with LED TV screen and whiteboards for interactive learning. The room has a maximum capacity of 30 adults. Free BT guest wifi is available throughout the building, as well as baby changing facilities and a Changing Places toilet. Other Charities or VAT exempt organisations can benefit from cheaper room hire rates. Also situated in the building is the Victoria Park Tea Room which is open 7 days a week offering light bites, sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks. A full external catering menu is available on request with a tiered pricing system designed to fit your budget.
