For over a century, Withington Baths has been at the heart of its community. When closure threatened in 2013, local people were having none of it. A passionate campaign followed, and the Baths was eventually entrusted to the community to run for themselves.
Ten years later, this much-loved Edwardian building is not only surviving but thriving—with more people, more activities, and more joy than ever before. This book celebrates the voices and stories that make the Baths so special to so many, while demonstrating that community ownership truly works.
