Meet Our Local Business – Kiosk on Lapwing..
Situated on one of West Didsbury’s leafiest and busiest high streets. “Kiosk on Lapwing is a 4 square metre takeout coffee and drinks hatch on the Lapwing Lane arcade. With outdoor seating (limited to one sweet spot during post office hours) and 6 outdoor tables outside of Post Office hours (evenings and weekends) it serves speciality coffee, locally baked goods and locally brewed beer and fine wines and spirits.”

Founded in 2024 by local business owner Jemma, this is definitely a case of a beautiful thing coming in tiny packages.

Look forward to meeting you!

Coffees are supplied by the excellent Blossom roasters, while the baked goods — from biscuits and cakes to fresh pastries — arrive courtesy of Long Bois Bakery in Levenshulme, just a few miles to the north east.

If you’re after something a little stronger, you’re equally well catered for. Le Social Wine provides the fizz on tap — a practical choice given the limited space for bottle storage — while First Chop, one of central Manchester’s longest-running artisan breweries, takes care of the beer.
The drinks offering doesn’t stop there. Expect expertly made Bloody Marys, Negronis, Aperol Spritz and Mimosas, alongside the ever-popular Espresso Martini for those wanting something with a little extra kick.
A truly unique addition to one of Manchester’s prettiest, liveliest and tastiest suburbs, its close proximity to West Didsbury Metrolink stop also makes it easily accessible from across the city.
