Lloyd Hotel Bowling Club in Chorlton..

The Lloyd Hotel Bowling Club was founded in 1870 and has a long and distinguished history. We currently have 8 teams playing in 6 different leagues. A complete list of all our fixtures can be found on the site.

Over the years we have developed ties with Francis House Childrens Hospice in Didsbury and the Christie Hospital in Withington, and have raised over £50,000 for these very worthwhile causes.

Our main fundraising has been carried out simultaneously with our attempts to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest game of outdoor bowls. Our club beat the existing record in 2003, 2006, and again in 2008 when we played non stop for 168 hours, a week!.

We have close ties with the local community in and around our home in Chorlton, Manchester and always welcome new members. If you would like to have a try at crown green bowling, feel free to come along and have a look around, or contact one of our club officials.
