‘ONE CLUB’ SOCCERTHON..

We are hosting a ‘One Club’ Event – a WEST Soccerthon to be held over the weekend of Saturday 11th May and Sunday 12th May.

The aim of the event is to bring together all sections of our amazing club, including our fans and sponsors to help us raise funds towards the costs for our clubhouse bar refurbishment and replacement of the exterior rotted facias, broken gutters and downspouts. The refurb work will be completed during the closed season and be ready in time for our pre-season matches.

We will designate 7 pitches for the activities, 2 on the main pitch (after scheduled games are completed) 5 on Hardy Farm which we will run 5 – a -side competitions on allow friendlies to be played on We also intend to run side activities, such as ‘beat the keeper’, soccer skills test and crossbar challenge. The Clubhouse Bar, Tea Bar and a Merchandise Shop will be open. Spectators will be allowed into our grounds and those not participating will be asked for a donation and encouraged to purchase raffle tickets.

What do we have planned? Saturday 11th (0900 start)

  • Main pitch – 2 external Cup Finals
  • Scheduled Junior matches Home and Away
  • Activities organised at club – ‘beat the keeper’ and soccer skills test.
  • Bouncy Castle
  • 5 – a – side competition for 16 teams. Minimum donation requested £75 per team, maximum 8 players a team. Sign in from 12.30, Matches starting at 1.00 with all teams guaranteed minimum of 3 matches. Trophy and medals for winning team.
  • Catering – Wrapscallion – Main Bar and Tea Bar open, Outside coffee vendor.
  • Merchandise available from club house. Sunday 12th (0930 start)
  • Junior matches home and away.
  • Hardy Farm available for additional matches (fixtures allowing)
  • WDCFC Vets match on main pitch
