Update on Len Grant’s Chorlton Sketchbook..

Bringing Chorlton to Life — One Sketch at a Time

I first met Len at the beginning of 2025. From the outset, I had a vision—collaborating with someone local who could bring the spirit of our community to life through art. Len’s sketches of Chorlton instantly caught my eye, and I knew they had a place in the heart of my business.

Since then, we’ve shared plenty of coffees, bounced around ideas, and chatted about creative plans. One idea that stood out was The Chorlton Sketchbook—a beautiful project capturing the essence of our local area through Len’s eyes and pen.

Today, I had the pleasure of spending time with Len right outside my office as he worked his magic. Watching him sketch my business as part of this project was a special moment—and I can’t wait to see the finished piece.

If you love Chorlton as much as we do and want to support this incredible local project, now’s your chance.

Order your copy of The Chorlton Sketchbook today and own a unique celebration of our community.

Let’s keep championing local creativity, one sketch at a time.

A 104-page hardback book of Len’s urban sketches from this Manchester suburb.

Hello. I’m an urban sketcher and for the past year I’ve been drawing my way around Chorlton.

I’ve launched this crowd funder to raise funds to print a book of those sketches. It’s called Len Grant’s Chorlton Sketchbook. Supporters will effectively buy the book up front but won’t actually get their copy until October 2025.

For a little extra you can have your name included in the book as a ‘backer’.
The sketchbook will be an A5, 104-page hardback book printed by a specialist art book printer

This is not my first sketchbook. In 2018 I published The Rusholme Sketcher, in 2022 I made The Burton Road Sketchbook, and last year I made Bars and Barbers, Sketches from the Northern Quarter.

As well as the sketches there are some short write-ups that hopefully add some flavour to the unique Chorlton experience.

About the rewards:
There are two levels of ‘backer’: one for individuals and one for local businesses. The names will be printed all together at the back of the book. Once the target is reached I will send out a Kickstarter survey asking for the name to be included, and for your address. You don’t need to add those now.

Thanks for reading. I hope you can support the project and get the book printed.
