The Thirsty Korean — Now Open on Wilbraham Road, Chorlton

Originally opened in 2019 on Manchester Road, The Thirsty Korean has now reopened in a brand-new home on Wilbraham Road as of 23rd April 2025.

While we considered moving to a different suburb for our next chapter, I chose to stay in Chorlton — the place I’ve called home since arriving in the UK in October 2019. Though I’m originally from South Korea, Chorlton has welcomed me warmly, and it feels like my second home. This community has given me so much, and I’m proud to continue being part of it.

As a chef specialising exclusively in Korean cuisine, I remain committed to serving authentic Korean dishes — no fusion, no British twists, just real Korean food as it’s meant to be enjoyed. Whether you’re already a fan or completely new to the cuisine, I hope you’ll find something delicious and satisfying on our menu. From bold and spicy to mild and comforting, there’s something for everyone.

Seeing our guests enjoy the food, drinks, and atmosphere we’ve created brings me real joy — and reminds me every day that reopening The Thirsty Korean in Chorlton was absolutely the right decision.
