As manager of Longford Park JFC Girls U17s, I’ve witnessed firsthand how strong communities are built on lasting partnerships and shared values. For the past ten years, we’ve been proud to call JP & Brimelow Estate Agents our sponsor, and I’ve watched my group of enthusiastic seven-year-olds transform into confident, skilled young women who proudly wear their purple colours on pitches across the region.

What started as a simple sponsorship arrangement has blossomed into something far more meaningful. These remarkable girls have been training together for a decade, forming bonds that extend well beyond the football pitch. Riding the Wave of Women’s Football

The recent success of England’s Lionesses has created an exciting surge in girls’ football participation, and we’ve been at the forefront of this movement at Longford Park JFC. I’m seeing more and more girls picking up their boots and joining our club, inspired by seeing women’s football celebrated on the national stage.

This growth reflects something I’ve always known – when you provide opportunities and support, young people thrive. The confidence, leadership skills, and resilience my girls develop on the pitch serve them well in all aspects of life, from the classroom to their future careers.

More Than Just Football

At Longford Park JFC, we offer something special for both boys and girls in our community. Yes, they’re developing football skills and improving their fitness, but the real magic happens in the friendships formed and the social skills developed. These young people learn to communicate, collaborate, and support one another through wins and losses alike.
