Nestled in the heart of West Didsbury, Reserve is your local independent wine shop and bar, bringing people together over brilliant bottles for more than 20 years. Whether you’re popping in for a midweek glass, stocking up for the weekend, or joining a tasting, Reserve is all about making wine approachable, enjoyable, and part of everyday life.
A Local Story
Reserve first opened its doors in 2003, born from founder Kate Goodman’s determination to create a more welcoming wine experience. “I’d had such a terrible time in another wine shop that I left feeling completely intimidated,” Kate recalls. “I wanted Reserve to be the exact opposite – friendly, fun, and a place where people felt part of a community.”
From that first shop in Didsbury, Reserve has grown to five locations across Greater Manchester – but the original remains the flagship and very much the beating heart of the business. “I’ve always loved it here,” says Kate. “The people in Didsbury are curious, supportive, and up for trying new things – it feels like such a privilege to be part of this community.”
