Unlike the original, full of nooks and crannies, Sandbar Withington features a bright, open-plan interior with large windows that flood the space with natural light. Distressed paintwork adds a bohemian, Parisian touch, and the music is played at a comfortable level, allowing conversation to flow easily.

Longstanding Manchester favourite Sandbar opened its second location in Withington in May 2025 — nearly 30 years after the original opened on Grosvenor Street in 1996.

After patiently searching for the perfect spot, they found a home on Withington High Street, ideal for a bar that’s always been popular with lecturers, students, and locals alike.

Serving Neapolitan pizzas Monday to Sunday 12-10pm along with coffee and cake from local bakeries.

Alongside plenty of discounts for NHS staff, students and industry folk, our Pizza & Pint offer runs every day from 12 pm to 3 pm – just £12 for a pizza & pint.

On the weekends we offer a family deal – buy any two large pizzas and children under 12 eat and drink for free (maximum of 2 free meals per purchase).
